Our knowledgeable staff and veterinarians are glad to answer any questions you have about new pet ownership and health care. The most important immediate advice we can offer is to schedule an appointment with us for a full medical evaluation.

During your initial visit, we will perform a comprehensive examination to determine if your new pet is at risk for any health issues. We will also screen your pet for intestinal parasites and perform deworming. Humans are susceptible to these parasites, so we recommend two intestinal parasite exams during the first four months of your puppy or kitten’s life.

Growing animals’ developing immune systems leave them more vulnerable to illness, so please ask our veterinarians about the schedule of preventative treatment that is best for your new pet’s first few months of life. We want your new companion to grow up healthy and strong!

We ask that you bring the health information provided to you by the seller or shelter on your first visit with us, which should include a previous history of vaccines and deworming.

 

Please bring your pet's favorite treats as well as a fresh stool sample.
