Dr. Judson Powers, a graduate of the University of Florida '96, is a compassionate and empathetic pet owner and advocate. Upon graduation, to further his understanding and knowledge of small animal care and surgery, Dr. Powers completed a clinical internship at West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. With over 20 years of experience, he strives to ensure all pets receive the finest medical treatment available.

Dr. Powers' special interests are allergy management (ear, skin, and GI), chronic disease management (Diabetes, thyroid conditions), compassionate pain relief, dentistry, oncology (cancer therapy), preventative health care, senior wellness care, and fear-free.  Fear Free Certified.

 

Dr. Powers lives in Greenville with his loving wife, Melissa, son Sulley, daughter Emmaline and his English Cream Golden Retriever Harvey Specter, Louie (Goldendoodle) and hounds, Piper (Treeing Walker Coonhound mix) and Winnie (Bluetick Coonhound mix). Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Powers enjoys hiking, mountain biking, SUP boarding, and the Florida Gators!  Mr. Denny Crane inspired our Rocky Creek logo; he was Dr.P's loyal black Labrador with him since Rocky Creek was founded. 

Dr. Hayes is originally from Pennsylvania, prior to happily settling down in South Carolina in 2007. She loves working with families to diagnose and treat their pet's illnesses and maintain optimum health. Dr. Hayes received her Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida and then attained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Although she enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hayes has a particular interest in dermatology, chronic illness management and preventative care. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Greater Greenville Veterinary Medical Association, and is Human Animal Bond Certified. 

 

Outside of work, Dr. Hayes spends time with her husband and three children. They have a group of wonderful animals including two dogs, two cats, saltwater fish and backyard chickens. Dr. Hayes enjoys gardening and cooking. 

Kelsey was born and raised in Greer, SC and graduated from USC-Upstate with a Biology degree in 2014.   She joined the team shortly after as a technician's assistant and has continued to love all aspects of Rocky Creek.

  

In September 2021, she married her husband Jake in the beautiful mountains of Silverton, Colorado surrounded by family and friends.

  

The two of  them and their two dogs currently reside in Taylors, S.C.  They have a Doberman named Goldberry and a Australian Blue Heeler named Drover.  Kelsey loves visiting local craft breweries and going to any and all live music.  As a family they enjoy camping, fly fishing, traveling and using their season football tickets to cheer on the South Carolina Gamecocks!
